Book Review: 30 days to 30

I wanted to read this story, because I was turning the big 3-0, and I absolutely loved it! I downloaded it to my kindle and was reading it on my morning commute on the bus, after work, and whenever I had free time at home. I could totally relate to the main character, which was a big plus. She is a workaholic and puts all her time and effort into her law job only to find out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her with his secretary. The beginning of book is a bit predictable, because she pretty much hits rock bottom, but the rest of the story is really fun and romantic and the ending definitely caught me by surprise! I loved her best friend, Liz, because I was able to relate to her as well, having 2 kids of my own. And Chris is a lovable, down-to-earth character as well. The book is an easy and fun read for anyone! I would definitely read it again!

Product Review: AYL Silicone Cooking Gloves

We bought these silicone gloves because my family loves cooking and now that it's summer, we will be doing a lot of grilling, of course. Every time we used it, we loved it. Usually, we buy the cotton oven mitts from a retail store, but these are amazing. They are extremely heat resistant (pictured, you can see my husband holding a broiling pan with steak from the oven with the glove), easy to wash (because it's silicone, a simple scrub down after use cleans it thoroughly) and are super comfy (it's line with cotton), too! We love that it's a glove feature rather than the mitt, which only has room for a thumb and then rest of your hand. They are really nice for hot liquids that might spill as well because the liquids are just repelled off. They are a super well thought-out product, and we would definitely recommend it!

Pacifier Clip by KiddosArt

We've been looking for a good pacifier clip for a while and this one is great. I attached the clip to my baby's collar on her onesie, and she liked it right away. You can attach a pacifier, teething ring, or any small item to this clip. My baby even loved playing with the straps. This pacifier clip is sturdy, well made, and comes in a handy pack of three. I leave one at home, one in the diaper bag, and one in the car. It's super handy and I never have to worry about the pacifier falling on the floor anymore. I never have to search for the pacifier in my bag anymore either. I love this product and would recommend it to everyone!

Wine Eccentric Wine Aerator Review

Drinking wine is a great way for people to unwind, and my family is no different. We love wine, whether it’s for an afternoon snack of cheese and crackers or paired with a delicious steak for dinner. After receiving this wine aerator, we were so excited to try it out. Guess what? It was amazing!! The aerator comes in a super stylish case (perfect for gift giving) and it was easy to open and put together. After, opening up a bottle of wine, we simply placed the aerator on top of the bottle and poured. Wow, the effervesce of the wine was so neat and the taste was outstanding. I could taste different flavors within the wine that I couldn’t taste before. The aerator really opened up new taste buds for me!

TripleBooster Car Charger Review

I was looking for the perfect charger for my phone, because I had one from Verizon, but the connection was loose. This was the answer to my problems!! First, it arrives in a super cute, blue box. I was very impressed by the packaging and how neat and organized it looked. When I opened it, I was happy and surprised to see that the charger came with a cute bag as well, so you can easily find it in your car and not lose any of the pieces. As you can see from the photo, the TripleBooster charges my phone perfectly in the car. The light turns blue, so you know that it's charging. It has three ports, so you can easily charge three gadgets at once. I keep the bag in the armrest, so that it's easy to grab. It can charge an iphone, an Android (my phone), or ipad--simultaneously! This is an amazing product and an awesome price, too. A must buy for anyone who's always in the car and on the go!

Product Review: Cozitot Baby Sling Carrier Wrap

I was asked to review this carrier wrap for my baby, and I found it to be really awesome. The instructions are easy to understand, and the product feels very durable and secure for the baby. The best part is that's way cheaper than other products of this type. My baby is 5 months old and 17 pounds and fits perfectly into this carrier. I like that it can hold up to 35 pounds. I have used the Bjorn before and it really hurt my shoulders and back. This carrier, however, lets you hold the baby tightly and snugly against you. I do not feel like I'm leaning forward, like with other carriers. My baby really loves being in the carrier and even chews on the straps. Since she wants to be carried all the time, I feel comfortable putting her in this, to keep my hands free to do chores or read to my other daughter. I really recommend this carrier!

Kid's Book Review: Putter and the Red Car

I was chosen to review the kid's book: Putter and the Red Car by Kate Lund. It is a very nice and interesting kid's board book. It's also unique in the fact that it takes on the perspective of the dog, Putter, rather than a person. The pictures are very cute and illustrate the author's ideas perfectly.

The book encompasses ideas that relate to young children, such as adaptation during change, "building resilience and the power of possibility." It talks about a dog moving from Boston, MA to Seattle, WA with his family. Part of the reason I really enjoyed this book is because I'm currently living in Boston, and the stops they made in Massachusetts, I have all visited before. The dog is a bit apprehensive to move, but he meets new friends along the way, and his owners give him lots of love and reassurance. He gets to have a bunch of new experiences, like eating out at a restaurant, visiting Mount Rushmore, and seeing a museum full of tipis. He has a positive attitude and loves looking at the view as they pass by the beautiful mountains. It is quite the adventure. Putter is friendly, has perseverance, and very loving. Sometimes, I forget that this book is from the dog's perspective!

This is a perfect book for a child who is a bit apprehensive about an unknown change in the future or just a fun read in general. My 4 year old daughter loved it. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Android/iPhone Mobile Apps That Pay Money :)

After exploring internet sites that pay cash, I have now been able to successfully compile a quick list of mobile/ipod apps that will help you make some extra cash! I will be adding to this list as I discover more apps.

Checkpoints: Install checkpoints on your mobile phone/ipod. It's a super awesome, free, and easy app to use. All you do is click on nearby locations to "check-in," for 2 points each. The best part is that you don't have to actually be at that location to check-in. Another hint that I have for you is at certain times during the day, usually 8 AM EST in my experience, there are 10 point check-ins that last for 1-2 hours! At just 350 points you can cash out for a $1 gift card! Sweet! Other awesome gift cards include Best Buy, Home Depot, iTunes...this place is amazing!!

HINT Please enter: turtle9 for a bonus code of 300 points! By using my code, you will get 300 points and I will get 150 points :)  At just 350 points you can cash out for a $1 gift card! Sweet!

Shopkick: Get points for shopping...seriously?! Yup, modern technology has made this possible. Stores want to lure you into their shop, so start shopping and get points to score gift cards, baby!

Common shops on Shopkick that offer you points just for walking into their store are: Best Buy, Target, Macy's, Old Navy, American Eagle, and Aerie. Points differ each day depending on sales, holidays, etc. Just walk to the store and hover near the door. After about a few seconds, Shopkick will award you with "kicks," just for stopping by! Please join through my link and we will both get points :) Thanks!!
